In 6-12 months, help the company build a working rhythm for strategy execution

For successful strategy execution, the first 6-12 months are critical: strategic management processes need to be organized, changes launched, and the top team’s mindset adapted.

Key project goals

  • Set up strategic management and change execution processes.
  • Adapt the management team’s approach to new strategic tasks.
  • Build a consistent process for monitoring strategy execution.
  • Significantly increase the chances of successful execution by removing internal bottlenecks.

The most common reason strategies die is the lack of systematic work after development. A good strategy plus “we’ll get to it someday” equals zero results a year later.

Execution support is a separate service designed to close exactly this gap: over 6-12 months, we work with the team to build processes, checkpoints, and a system for regular adjustments, so the company can maintain the rhythm of execution on its own without constant external support.

We help the company set up the processes and management structure that support strategic change, so your team is ready for new challenges and can use the company’s potential more fully.

When does execution support make sense?

If you have developed a strategy for the first time and your team is not yet used to working in both the operational and strategic loops at once, we recommend starting strategy execution with consultant support.

The strategy has just been developed, and it is important to start execution now, not “in a year when things settle down.”

Strategy execution is stalling because the team’s actions are not aligned.

The top team needs to change its approach to strategic tasks; without that, execution will not move.

The company is entering a period of serious change, and you want to reduce risks during implementation.

What makes working with us different

Focus on company independence.

Our task is not to do the work for you, but to build a sustainable strategic management system that can run on its own. If after 12 months you still need constant external support for the strategy to move forward, then we have not done our job well enough.

1

Active involvement of top managers and key employees.

Through working sessions, training, and mentoring, we help them become drivers of change and take responsibility for strategy execution.

Developing the team’s strategic thinking.

We help your team build systems thinking, learn to manage strategic tasks, and adapt processes to strategic goals. As a result, the company not only solves current tasks, but also gains the tools and capabilities for sustainable growth and ambitious future goals.

Project stages

Assessing process and team readiness for strategy execution

  • Assessment of existing strategic management processes.
  • Recommendations for process changes.
  • Recommendations for developing middle management, so they are ready to take on operational tasks and free up the management team’s capacity for strategy execution.

Checking whether the organizational structure is ready for the new strategy

  • Recommendations on changes in responsibility, authority, and the roles needed to execute the strategy. (Developing a new organizational structure is not included in the project fee.)

Assessing the management team reward system

  • Assessment of whether the management team’s reward system encourages execution of strategic tasks. (Designing a reward system is not included in the project fee.)

Decomposing the strategy into an action plan by department

  • A planning session for executing strategic initiatives over the next 6 months.

Monitoring strategy execution

Monthly strategy committees (4 hours) to monitor:

  • Progress on strategic tasks.
  • Reasons for deviations from the plan and ways to resolve them.
  • Potentially dangerous competitor actions and sharp changes in the external environment.
  • New ideas and initiatives that were not included in the current strategy.

Strategic session after 6 months (1 day)

  • Assessment of strategy execution dynamics.
  • Assessment of the external and internal environment.
  • Assessment of whether the strategy needs to be adjusted due to external changes.
  • Decomposition of strategic tasks by department for the next 6 months.

Year-end strategic session (2 days)

  • Assessment of trends in the industry, adjacent industries, and markets.
  • Assessment of the external and internal environment.
  • Assessment of whether the strategy needs to be adjusted due to external changes.
  • Assessment of strategy execution dynamics.

The consultant’s role in the project
  • An objective outside view: we see bottlenecks that are hard to notice from inside the company.
  • Experience and best practices: we offer proven approaches instead of reinventing the wheel.
  • Support in changing the management team’s mindset: focus on strategic tasks, not only operations.
  • Continuous progress monitoring: identifying and preventing deviations early.
  • Recommendations for further development: what to change in structure, processes, and motivation to support long-term growth.
