Company
The Group of Companies (GC) comprises five independent companies: IT Distribution, IT Integration, IT Equipment Service and Repair, Radio Communications and Security Systems Distribution, and HVAC Equipment Distribution. The Group employs 550 people and has a presence throughout Kazakhstan, as well as representatives in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Project goal — develop a strategy for the Alsi Service company.
Saule Bekeeva, owner of the Alsi Group of Companies, noted that without external expertise, it was difficult to research the market, analyze external and internal factors, and consider its strengths and weaknesses.
How we were chosen
On recommendation, Saule Bekeeva, owner of the Alsi Group of Companies, read Alexander Pankov's book on strategy, which introduced her to the Amazes team's approach to strategy development. After meeting and discussing the project's goals and the key principles of the strategy development approach, Saule noted the clarity and conciseness of the project's goals and objectives, as well as the fact that Alexander's approach aligned with the Alsi Group of Companies' business values and expectations. This inspired her to begin collaborating with our team.
I really appreciated Alexander's comprehensive approach to strategy development and building a strategic plan for the company's development. He engaged the top management team in a discussion of the overall market assessment, our company's place and role in the market, competitor and customer analysis, and the company's strengths and weaknesses.
Project progress
The collaboration began with deep collaboration:
- Research and analysis: Together, we studied the market, demand dynamics, customer and competitor profiles, drew conclusions, and determined priorities.
- Joint planning: We discussed and formulated a development strategy, defined strategic goals and objectives, structured initiatives, and developed a step-by-step action plan with clear deadlines, resources, and responsibilities.
- Team Involvement: The entire process actively involved the top management team, allowing each participant to view the market and their resources from a new perspective.
Project results
- Many initiatives were structured and filtered.
- The goals for the 3 years are formulated very clearly and concisely.
- The company's strategy has been developed and a strategic focus for business development has been identified.
- An action plan has been developed to achieve goals for the current year, with deadlines and responsibilities.
- The owner was able to see her team from a different perspective and identify areas for development to increase the team's potential.
I'm especially proud of the launch of a new DaaS division and partners in Kyrgyzstan and two regions of Kazakhstan. I'm confident that this is just the beginning of the expected results of this strategy.
The first results from the implementation of the developed action plan:
- Expanding presence: We opened a new dealership in Kyrgyzstan and two new locations in Kazakhstan.
- Strengthening the brand: Alsi Service's brand recognition increased, the company's rating improved, new contracts were signed with retailers, and additional authorizations were received from vendors.
- Employee Engagement: Employee engagement in achieving company goals has increased, significantly strengthening team spirit and overall morale.
These achievements not only had a positive impact on the business, but also encouraged Saule to continue collaborating with our team to develop strategies for two more companies in the holding.
