Organizational diagnostics

The main diagnostic goal is to find the causes of losses that reduce the company’s efficiency, identify business growth points, and develop solutions that will help increase efficiency and, as a result, the company’s profit.

Taking into account the tasks facing the organization, you can conduct a comprehensive analysis (diagnostics of all management systems) or study individual functions (HR management, finance, sales, production, etc.).

Markers of problems in the organizational structure:

The business as a whole or one of the divisions (directions) shows negative dynamics

You are not satisfied with your performance indicators

Revenue increases, but profitability decreases

The result of problems in the company is the departure of clients and staff (high turnover)

Growth of accounts receivable, cash gaps

Frequent conflicts within the company, difficulties with management

Do you have a feeling that not everything is going as you would like?

PROJECT STAGES

1

Collecting information

Typically, the following are used to collect data for diagnostics:

  • analysis of the company structure;
  • diagnostic questionnaires;
  • interviews with managers and employees;
  • studying various documents regulating the company’s activities (on structure, processes, etc.);
  • financial and management reports;
  • studying the processes of working with information used in making management decisions (systems of collection, storage, transmission, study and analysis).

2

Forming a problem field

At this stage, we form and analyze the problem field of the company. There are various approaches to building the structure of the problem field. One of the simplest and most understandable is to divide all problems into two groups: root problems and consequences.

The point is that if we work to solve the root problems, then as a result the consequences problems are also solved. If we try to start with problem-consequences, without understanding their causes, then we can end up creating new problems for ourselves that reduce the efficiency of our activities and require additional costs, while the root problems are not resolved.

3

Compiling a final report

Conclusions and assessments based on the diagnostic results, as well as recommendations for improving the situation, are collected in a report. During his presentation, we will discuss the results of the project and build a sequence of optimization actions and their priority.
